Water and the city: Interview with Aqua Alta Collective
Abstract
Part of the dossier “Challenges and possibilities of water in the construction of territories” – which, based on discussions in the postgraduate courses at Escola da Cidade, poses questions for the critical debate of the theme – the interview made by Luis Octavio de Faria and Silva, Maria Teresa Fedeli, Rafael Abelini and Ruben Otero with the Coletivo Aqua Alta, a Paraguayan organization, partner in all editions of the Amphibious Architectures Workshop carried out by the Graduate School of the City School through the Housing and City course, takes up aspects (challenges and possibilities) that articulate public power, architecture and water management when talking about the difficulties of acting and the projects carried out by the group both in times of emergency and in longer-term perspectives.
